PM Modi in the US: Two-hour-long event for Indian diaspora in US on June 23
The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, will be in the United States from June 21 to 24 at the invitation of US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. On June 22, they will also host Modi for a dinner. The visit will also include a speech before the joint session of the US Congress.
On June 23, the Indian Prime Minister will speak before an audience of diaspora leaders from all around the nation who have been invited by invitation at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. "India's growth story" will be the main topic of Modi's meeting with the Indian diaspora.
Mary Millben, an American singer, actress, and media personality, will perform for the Indian Prime Minister at a diaspora reception hosted by the United States Indian Community Foundation (USICF) at the Ronald Reagan Building. The award-winning singer will also attend the 9th International Day of Yoga at the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) on June 21 with the Indian Prime Minister.
Dr. Bharat Barai, organiser of Modi's Ronald Reagan Center event in the US, appreciated the leadership qualities of Modi. He said that Modi is the most popular public figure in the world. He told the Press Trust of India (PTI), "The PM was gracious enough to delay his departure from DC by a few hours, and grant a slot for the diaspora meeting.”
PM Modi will stay in the US from June 20 to June 24. He will receive a welcome at the White House on June 22 before state dinner.
The Indian Prime Minister will be jointly hosted at a luncheon by United States Vice President Kamala Harris and United States Secretary of State Antony Bilnken.
Later on, PM Modi will visit Egypt. He will pay tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War 1.
